Challenge

For each project, we needed to introduce a novel cooking method, inspiring the design of an interaction that balances user familiarity with enhanced seamlessness and user-friendliness compared to traditional methods.

Contribution

In Project Vesta, I was involved in the product ideation and creation of the first MVP, showcasing the concept of cooking with precise temperature using an AI assistant. In Project Aspire, I oversaw the UX process, providing feedback and supervising the development of UI design and design systems.

Project Vesta

Ever dealt with an overheated plate and unevenly heated food straight from the microwave? Project Vesta ensures perfectly cooked or reheated meals at your desired temperature, using multi-zone selection powered by thermal and RGB camera sensors.

Emphasizing the Temperature Control

Our team created a demo video to present our multi-zone temperature control concept to HQ. Initially, we aimed for AI-driven food recognition to automate temperature settings, but due to tech feasibility, we focused the first POC on manual control. The design emphasizes individual food zone control with a clear, large temperature display on the left.

Project Aspire

Project Aspire is a smart kitchen system that enhances safety and efficiency by integrating a smart hood with gas stove knobs. Designed to prevent hazards and streamline cooking, it uses RGB and thermal camera sensors to monitor and adjust the cooking process. This technology ensures a safer, more intuitive cooking experience.
