Bot Chef needed an informative display for the IFA demo. The visual display was essential to guide users through each recipe step and show how the robot can assist in cooking.
I led a team of two to create the conceptual screen for user interaction which includes branding, voice interaction, menu selection and recipe step display. Later, I constructed a storyboard for the promotional video and its visuals.
The system looks at online recipes and assigns tasks to each person or robot helping with cooking. If robotic assistants are involved, the system adjusts the tasks accordingly. The main goal was to make each task easy to understand. To do this, I created several layout options to show tasks clearly, and designed the whole process, from picking the menu to showing each task on the main screen.
